We are so proud of how well the children have settled!
For Bubble/Class closure Home Learning – visit our dedicated Home Learning EYFS page.
Webpage updated 6.30pm 4th Oct 2020.
We are working hard to deliver the curriculum safely. If you wish to discuss anything with the class teacher you can communicate through a note in your child’s Reading Record/Phonics Log or call the School Office. We will get back to you as quickly as possible. Thank you for your support.
Our Behaviour Stages:
Apologies that the behaviour stages leaflet was not in your Starting School Packs.
We know it is important to work in partnership with Parents/Carers.
Below is a copy of the leaflet we usually give out in June/July for Year R.
Watch the video presentation (in full screen) below to find out about EYFS at South End Infant School.
This page contains the documentation we’ve posted to you and new information.
ON THIS PAGE YOU WILL FIND:-
A virtual tour of the school.
A gallery of pictures your child can view; allowing them to become familiar with the classrooms, playground, hall and shared areas.
A plan of the routes in and out of the school to ease the pressure of first day nerves.
A Getting Ready For School Guide.
EYFS staff photos so you can see who we all are. We can’t wait to welcome you into our school!
Photos of the items your child will use everyday at school (book bags, bottles, uniform) and once classes have been allocated, we will add photos and information about your child’s class (book bag boxes, coat pegs, where the toilets are etc). We know the small things matter hugely to our pupils and grown ups.
And you will also find useful EYFS learning guides/videos and curriculum information on our Reading and Writing Heroes Page.
MEET THE EYFS TEAM
During lockdown, we wanted you to be able to see our wonderful school; experience the layout and areas. So we thought a video would be the best idea (there are photos below too). Here’s a little tour of our school. We’ve even added toilet locations.

KIT FOR SCHOOL
Your child will need a book bag, P.E. bag and a water bottle which are available from the school office
You can click the uniform shop icon below to follow the link to our uniform provider.
We will provide your child with a reading record during their first term.
FINDING YOUR CLASSROOM
There are two routes to the EYFS/Year Reception classes. When you start school we will put signs out to tell you which way to go.
Route 1 – At present the plan is to use route 1. You turn left as you enter the school gates and make your way through the green gates, pass the Year 2 classrooms, walk down by the EYFS garden and mud kitchen.
Route 2 – Takes you all around the school (past the main entrance, the adventure trail equipment and year 1, all the way down to the bottom playground).
THANK YOU FOR THE BUNTING!
We have had many bunting returns. We have loved reading them and admiring the pictures you have drawn. Thank you!
